By registering, browsing, posting internships, or applying to opportunities on this platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our associated Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Payment Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility
By creating an account or using PortalForInterns.com, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years of age or possess legal parental or guardian consent to enter into these binding Terms under applicable law.
- You have the legal power and full authority to agree to these Terms on your own behalf, or if you are registering on behalf of a company, organization, or educational institution, you have full legal authority to bind that entity.
- All registration details, profile data, educational background, company details, and contact information you provide are truthful, accurate, complete, and updated in a timely manner.
- Your use of the Platform complies with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws, regulations, and statutes in India and your place of residence.
2. Platform Description & Service Model
PortalForInterns.com is a digital marketplace and platform that connects college students and freshers seeking internships, practical industrial training, and entry-level positions with verified employers, startups, and enterprises.

Students can search, explore, and submit initial applications for free. Companies can create profiles, post listings, and receive 25 complimentary candidate contact unlock tokens every calendar month upon login.
💎 Optional Pro Subscriptions & Token Packs
Students can upgrade to Student Pro for unlimited applications. Employers can purchase on-demand candidate unlock token packs (starting at ₹99) to view verified applicant emails and phone numbers with instant activation.
3. Student Profiles & Applications
PortalForInterns.com operates a standardized No-Resume Profile System designed to democratize access and eliminate formatting barriers:
- Accuracy of Credentials: Students must accurately disclose their degree, institution, graduation year, practical skills, projects, and online portfolios (e.g. GitHub, LinkedIn). Providing false or misleading qualifications is strictly prohibited.
- Monthly Free Quota & Unlimited Paid Applications: Standard student accounts can apply for up to 3 free programs per calendar month. Students can apply to unlimited paid internship programs (with stipend or paid training) without restriction. Pro student subscribers enjoy unlimited applications across all programs.
- 7-Day Employer Response & Auto-Withdrawal: Employers have a 7-day window from application submission to respond by reviewing and unlocking the candidate profile. If an employer does not unlock the profile within 7 days, the application is automatically withdrawn and the student's monthly quota slot is refunded immediately. Once an employer unlocks the profile, automatic withdrawal is disabled and the application remains active unless manually withdrawn by the student.
- Direct Recruiter Access: When you submit an application, you authorize PortalForInterns.com to transmit your standardized profile data, contact details, and cover notes directly to the hiring company for recruitment consideration.
- Non-Exclusivity: PortalForInterns.com does not guarantee that applying to an internship will result in an interview, job offer, or placement. Hiring decisions rest solely with the recruiting company.
4. Employer Obligations & Program Transparency Standards
All recruiters, organizations, startups, and training providers posting opportunities on PortalForInterns.com must adhere to our Fair Internship Policy and transparency standards:
🛡️ Mandatory Program Classification & Fee Transparency
Every listing must accurately disclose its program model (Paid Stipend, Free Internship, or Paid Industrial Training/Bootcamp). If a program requires a training fee, it must be declared upfront on the listing. Providers are strictly prohibited from advertising an internship as "Free" or "Paid Stipend" and subsequently demanding a training fee, registration fee, or security deposit.
- Authentic Listings: Every posted opportunity must correspond to a genuine, currently available program with clear duration, learning outcomes, and compensation or training fees.
- Stipend Transparency: If a position is listed as "Paid Stipend", the employer is legally obligated to honor and disburse the promised stipend amount to the intern in a timely manner.
- No Hidden Application Fees: Charging candidates fees solely to submit an application, participate in an interview, or complete background verification is strictly prohibited across all categories.
- Data Protection: Recruiters may only use applicant data strictly for reviewing applications and contacting applicants regarding the specific opportunity applied for. Reselling or harvesting candidate contact data is strictly prohibited.
5. Candidate Contact Unlock Tokens & Employer Usage Policy
PortalForInterns.com operates an on-demand, tokenized candidate contact unlock system for registered companies and recruiters to access verified applicant contact details (direct email address and phone number). All token allocations, purchases, and consumption are strictly subject to the following policies:
5.1 Token Definition & Permanent Access
One (1) Token entitles an employer to unlock one (1) unique applied candidate's contact information (verified email and phone number). Once unlocked by an employer, candidate contact information remains permanently accessible on that employer's dashboard for that candidate application. The platform will never re-lock an unlocked candidate or deduct duplicate tokens for the same candidate application.
- Monthly Free Quota: Every verified employer account is eligible for twenty-five (25) complimentary unlock tokens each calendar month.
- Login-Triggered Credit: Complimentary tokens are credited upon the employer's first authenticated login during each calendar month. Inactive accounts that do not log in during a given calendar month receive no automatic grant for that month.
- Strict Month-End Expiration: Free tokens expire automatically at 23:59:59 IST on the final calendar day of the month in which they were credited.
- Zero Rollover: Unused free tokens do not roll over, accumulate, or carry forward into the following month.
5.3 Purchased Token Packs & Strict 30-Day Validity
Employers may purchase additional candidate unlock token packs at published rates (including ₹99 for 100 tokens, ₹299 for 400 tokens, ₹599 for 800 tokens, ₹999 for 1,500 tokens, or custom administrator-allocated plans):
- 30-Day Expiration: All purchased token batches have a strict validity window of thirty (30) consecutive calendar days starting from the exact timestamp of credit/payment confirmation.
- Absolute Zero Rollover Across All Plans: There is strictly NO ROLLOVER of tokens across any plan or purchase batch. Any unused balance permanently lapses upon reaching the 30-day expiration timestamp without exception, extension, or renewal carry-over.
- First-In, First-Out (FIFO) Consumption: The platform automatically consumes tokens on a FIFO basis, deducting from the earliest-expiring active batch first (e.g., monthly free tokens expiring at month end are deducted before newly purchased 30-day tokens).
Candidate unlock tokens are digital consumable goods credited immediately to your employer account upon successful payment authorization via Razorpay. In accordance with our Refund & Cancellation Policy, token pack purchases are 100% final, non-refundable, non-creditable, and non-transferable once credited. Underutilization or expiration of tokens prior to usage does not entitle the employer to any full or partial refund.
Candidate contact data (email addresses and telephone numbers) unlocked via tokens is provided under a limited, confidential license exclusively for legitimate recruitment screening, interviewing, and hiring for the specific internship or job vacancy applied for:
- No Reselling or Brokering: Employers are strictly prohibited from selling, renting, sharing, transferring, or licensing candidate contact details to third parties, recruitment consultancies, or marketing lists.
- No Scraping or Bulk Harvesting: Automated scraping, bot extraction, or mass contact harvesting from candidate profiles is strictly forbidden.
- No Unrelated Marketing or Spam: Unlocked contact information must never be used for commercial telemarketing, SMS broadcasts, unrelated promotions, or unsolicited non-recruitment communications.
- No Candidate Charges: Employers may never demand fees, security deposits, training charges, or processing costs from unlocked applicants under any pretext.
- Penalties for Violation: Any breach of this section constitutes a severe violation of these Terms and Indian data protection laws, resulting in immediate permanent account termination, forfeiture of all token balances without refund, and potential civil and criminal legal action.
6. Payment Processing & Razorpay Gateway Terms
All financial transactions for optional Pro subscriptions, token packs, and advertising services on PortalForInterns.com are processed through licensed third-party Payment Aggregators:
- Payment Aggregator Partnership: Online payments are routed and settled via Razorpay Payments Private Limited ("Razorpay PA"), an authorized Payment Aggregator regulated under Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Master Directions.
- Currency: All fees are stated, billed, and processed in Indian Rupees (INR ₹) unless explicitly stated otherwise.
- PCI-DSS Compliance: Card numbers, CVV codes, UPI PINs, and net banking credentials are captured directly by Razorpay's PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant secure servers. PortalForInterns.com never sees or stores sensitive payment credentials.
- Taxes: All purchases are subject to applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) in India (currently 18%). GST-compliant digital tax invoices with Input Tax Credit (ITC) eligibility are generated upon successful payment.
- Refunds: All refund requests are governed by our official Refund & Cancellation Policy.
7. Prohibited Activities & Platform Misuse
When accessing or using the Platform, you explicitly agree not to engage in any of the following:
- Posting fake, misleading, non-existent, Multi-Level Marketing (MLM), or commission-only recruitment scams.
- Using automated bots, scrapers, crawlers, or extraction tools to harvest email addresses, phone numbers, or candidate resumes.
- Posting offensive, defamatory, harassing, sexually explicit, or racially discriminatory content.
- Attempting to bypass platform security, reverse engineer code, conduct DDoS attacks, or exploit API endpoints.
- Impersonating another person, student, educational institution, or corporate entity.
8. Policy Violations & Immediate Account Ban
🚫 Zero Tolerance Policy Enforcement
Any violation of our policies, rules, code of conduct, or these Terms of Service will lead to immediate, permanent account suspension and ban without prior warning or notice. In the event of a ban resulting from policy non-compliance, all active Pro subscriptions, advertising credits, candidate unlock tokens, and privileges are immediately forfeited with zero refund eligibility.
Specific violations triggering an immediate permanent ban include, but are not limited to:
- Demanding unannounced fees, hidden training charges, application review fees, or security deposits from candidates in violation of our Fair Internship Policy.
- Posting fake, fraudulent, deceptive, MLM, or non-existent job or internship opportunities.
- Harassing, spamming, discriminating against, or compromising the privacy of student applicants or employers.
- Falsifying educational credentials, company registration details, or identity documents.
- Unauthorized reselling, brokering, bulk scraping, or commercial exploitation of candidate contact data unlocked via tokens.
- Attempting unauthorized automated scraping, API exploitation, or security breaches against the platform.
9. Intellectual Property Rights
All text, logos, graphics, icons, UI components, code, databases, and trademarks on PortalForInterns.com are the exclusive intellectual property of PortalForInterns.com or its licensors, protected under Indian and international copyright and trademark laws. You are granted a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to access the platform for individual educational and recruitment purposes.
10. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimers
PortalForInterns.com is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- PortalForInterns.com does not act as an employer, recruiter agent, or educational accreditation body. We are not liable for any disputes, work performance, stipend non-payment, or contractual breach between students and third-party employers.
- In no event shall PortalForInterns.com, its directors, employees, or partners be liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from platform downtime, lost opportunities, data loss, or unauthorized access.
- Our total aggregate liability under these Terms for any claim shall not exceed the actual amount paid by you to PortalForInterns.com in the preceding twelve (12) months.
11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms or the Platform shall be instituted exclusively in the competent courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
